Co curricular

At Navkis we value and understand the fact that all work and no play makes our young learners stifled. Hence our extracurricular activities are aimed at addressing this very factor of school life.

A harmonious blend of curricular and co-curricular activities such as yoga, taekwondo, dance, drama and music are conducted. Bhagavad Gita & Shloka classes with life skills has been introduced for the lower grades. Experts in the field innovate and train the students for various competitions and programs. Inter-School activities in sports, games and hobbies are encouraged. All efforts are made to develop the innate talent of the child.

Apart from the regular school semester exams, exams like ANCQ (Australian National Chemistry Quiz), Spell Bee, Science Olympiad and Math Olympiad are conducted for all the students every year.

Apart from regular academic activities, Navkis prides itself in offering the students a wide range of co-curricular activities.

Yoga

Yoga as a self disciplinary exercise is practised by each student as part of the school curriculum, to inculcate sound mind in sound body.

The word ‘yoga’ means bringing together two things into a relationship. The union of body and mind. Today stress and pressure for children are too many. Pressure in school, busy parents, competitive sports, and the demands of active participation are the contributing factors of stress. The school has a trained yoga teacher who trains our children in yoga. Yoga helps students to learn to relax, learn self control, and instill self-discipline, develop inner strength, calmness and inward focus, which is a valuable skill in entire life.

Karate

Self protection and self defence is learnt through Karate techniques under expert guidance at school.

Karate enables students to build self confidence, self discipline, self control and also in building physical fitness.

Dance & Music

Dance and music is an essential part of the learning program at school. Students are given regular classes in dance and music as part of the curriculum.

Drama & Theatre

Theatre at school has taken a new route to build a bond between the teacher and the student. Drama is offered as part of the regular curriculum which cultivates in the Annual Day program.
